Eric has been a middle school Language Arts teacher in the Kent School District since 2013. He has taught a variety of courses while specializing in 7th grade Honors Language Arts. Outside of his daily duties, Eric has also worked as a member of his district's ELA Frameworks Committee to develop Common-Core-aligned curriculum for grades 7-12. Eric attended Western Washington University where he earned his bachelor's degree in English Literature, graduating magna cum laude, before entering The Woodring School of Education to earn his teaching certificate. Eric is passionate about his own writing and enjoys writing poetry and short fiction, and he is also a contributing writer to a national high school basketball news network. As an instructor, Eric works to create an environment that encourages creativity, reflection, and self-discipline.
