Dramatic Storytelling

At the core of any type of great speech or presentation is a well-told story. Stories take us on a mental and emotional journey that connects the speaker with the audience. A valuable first step in learning how to tell an engaging story is through learning about and crafting tall tales.

In this class, students will listen to and explore the backgrounds of many beloved tall tales, while working to create their own tall tales. At the conclusion of this class, students will present their original stories to their classmates and teacher.

• Program Structure: Each specialty writing workshop contains ten one-hour lessons. Classes are held online via Microsoft Teams, and students receive personalized feedback to support their growth.
