Credentialed Teachers Only

Unlike many tutoring companies that only require a bachelor’s degree, we require all of our teachers to hold a valid teaching credential. This is important because earning a credential is not just about coursework. It also involves:

  • Supervised student teaching and classroom experience
  • Comprehensive training in educational methods, classroom management, child and human development, educational technology, and differentiated instruction.

When your child learns from a Writing Symphony teacher, you can trust they’re learning from someone who has already taught in real classrooms and understands how to adapt to different learning needs. Many of our teachers hold certifications in English as a second language, and several have master’s degrees, equipping them to support students from diverse learning backgrounds.

Background in Writing and English Instruction

Every one of our teachers has prior experience teaching writing and English. They know how to break down complex concepts, support reluctant writers, and challenge advanced ones. Many of our instructors have taught across a wide range of grade levels, and all are passionate about helping students grow into confident, capable communicators.

Training in the Writing Symphony Methodology

After being hired, each teacher is trained in the Writing Symphony methodology. This is our structured, research-backed approach to teaching writing in a clear, supportive way. The training ensures consistency across classes and helps students build a strong foundation from one level to the next. Our teachers also participate in ongoing support and collaboration so they are always learning and refining their skills.

Different Strengths, Same High Standards

Some of our teachers specialize in early elementary levels like Tempo and Harmony. Others focus on middle and high school courses like Allegro and Overture. Many teach across multiple levels. Regardless of which level your student is in, you can be sure their teacher is:

  • Qualified
  • Experienced
  • Passionate about teaching writing
  • Trained in our unique method
  • Committed to meeting your student where they are and helping them grow

We take teaching seriously because we know how important it is to your child’s success. When you join Writing Symphony, you’re not just signing up for a class. You’re gaining a partner in your child’s writing journey.
