Ms. Alyssa

Ms. Alyssa is a globetrotter with teaching living abroad for the past 7 years! She recently graduated with her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Alcala in Madrid, Spain. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Anderson University. Ms. Alyssa had the privilege of teaching ESL to Elementary students in South Korea for 4 years. She has also taught English to Spanish students for the past two years at a Bilingual School in Madrid, Spain. Ms. Alyssa is currently working with adults at the Literacy Center in West Michigan.

Alyssa is passionate about making writing, fun, and interesting to learn by asking thought-provoking questions and creating engaging activities throughout her lessons.

Ms. Alyssa’s passion for teaching English and Creative Writing started when she was an intern at 826LA in Los Angeles where she helped tutor and strengthen local elementary students' expository and creative writing skills. Alyssa’s teaching style focuses on building great rapport and trust with her students so that they may feel comfortable to express themselves openly and freely. She firmly believes in building solid relationships with her students helps to increase their overall learning and well being.
