WRITING PROGRAM OVERVIEW

A systematic methodology that
brings skills-based tools and the
rigor of daily practice into every
level of the program

Our programs combine engaging writing techniques and intensive academic instruction to help your child become a more proficient communicator. The Writing Symphony methodology helps students build confidence as they review writing fundamentals, including sentence structure, mechanics, editing/ proofing, vocabulary, and writing variations and style.

Classes are capped at six students in order for them to get the full impact of the “Think. Write. Speak. Repeat.” methodology, providing an engaging environment for a highly participatory classroom.

Our standard writing courses span 33 classes over the academic school year, with a review and Final Unit Writing Assessment given every 11th lesson. Students meet with their Writing Symphony teacher once a week for an hour in a small virtual group setting. Students will learn to read, write, and speak in quality sentences and paragraphs, then transition smoothly into writing and telling narrative stories, 5-paragraph essays, literary analysis, and more.
