Free Writing and Public Speaking Trial Class

  • Writing Symphony 2425 152nd Avenue Northeast Redmond, WA, 98052 United States (map)

Come learn about Writing Symphony's highly sought-after Fall writing program! During the free preview class, you can sample our teaching methods and meet our Fall instructors!

Before students can begin to write, they need to be equipped to write. Our program teachers offer a UNIQUE SYSTEMATIC approach to writing instruction that provides methods that students need to develop confidence in the writing and public speaking process. Students will learn about quality sentence structure by adding more complex clauses and word types to make the writing more clear and concise.

Additionally, stylistic techniques (strong verbs, quality adjectives, sentence openers, and more ) are taught incrementally to gently move students from the basics into more sophisticated writing and public presentations. Students will listen, speak, read, write and THINK!

In the fall, Writing Symphony will begin the first of the three trimester programs for each of the 5 stages. Lower level students will be guidedthrough the beginnings of a methodology and system where reading comprehension through key word outlining and notetaking will be the focus. Upper level students will be focused on critiquing literature as well as essay writing practice.
