Writing from Pictures and Prompts

Standardized tests often require students to write a response when given a specific picture or prompt. This class takes that well-known test taking skill and turns it into a fun adventure. Students will learn to write a strong response while implementing our proven writing strategies. The students will exercise their creativity and develop stronger writing and grammar skill in this Summer Camp.

Lower Elementary

Grade Level 2 - 3

Second and third grade classes will learn the basics of writing a well-written paragraph. This class focuses on skill and imagination. Students are given a strong framework of writing and grammar skills, while also being encouraged to demonstrate their creative writing abilities.

Upper Elementary

Grade Level 4 - 5

Fourth and fifth grade classes will provide the basics of writing a well written response of varying lengths. Students will write creatively, autobiographically, and critically. This class will focus on skill, imagination, and application. Students are taught a well-formed framework of writing skills and grammar.

Middle School

Grade Level 6 - 8

Sixth through eighth grade students will learn the basics of writing a well written response of more challenging lengths. This Summer Camp provides the foundation of our proven and unique writing strategies along with strengthening grammar and writing skills. Students will have the opportunity to write creatively, autobiographically, and critically.
